Dr. Kimberlee Sullivan graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University in 1998.  She received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2002.  One of her clinical residencies was with Family Physical Therapy in Omaha, Nebraska where her instructor was the President of the Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.   Kimberlee was able to assist her on research regarding pelvic floor strength throughout a person’s lifetime.  Since this clinical residency Kimberlee has focused her profession on pelvic floor dysfunction.

Kimberlee worked for HealthSouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation for three years in Minneapolis and Austin treating patients with orthopedic and pelvic dysfunction.  After transferring to Austin, Kimberlee developed the Men’s and Women’s Health Program which focused on the impairments, such as weakness and pain, of the pelvic floor.

In October of 2005 she opened Sullivan Physical Therapy where she could focus on patients with pelvic floor dysfunction such as incontinence, overactive bladder syndrome, interstitial cystitis, organ prolapse, sciatica and pelvic pain.  The goal of Sullivan Physical Therapy is to provide comprehensive care that encompasses strategies and interventions to promote and advance the health in men and women of all ages.

Kimberlee is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Orthopedic and Women’s Health Sections.  She has been selected to assist with the development of the Women’s Health Section Certification which will be released in 2007.  She is also a member of the National Association for Continence, Endometriosis Association, Interstitial Cystitis Association, National Vulvodynia Association, International Pelvic Pain Society, Texas Physical Therapy Association and the Women’s Sexual Health Foundation.

Kimberlee will be discussing different treatment approaches to manage incontinence during and after prostate cancer.
